As a need to provide best services to customers, Port of Banjarmasin has to develop it self. There are 3 development project handled for Port of Banjarmasin in future. They are:

Green_Ball.gif (257 bytes) Basirih Port

Basirih is a name of a village in Kotamadya Banjarmasin where a new port built and developed to replace Martapura Port. This is a goverment project (Project of Department of Communication for Port Development in South Kalimantan). In future, this port will be managed by Port of Banjarmasin for KLM (kapal layar motor) purpose.

Green_Ball.gif (257 bytes) Container Terminal

In future, Port of Banjarmasin will have a modern container terminal to accomodate the increasing of container flow. This terminal would be independently operated and supported by 240 m of container berth, 160,000 sq.m of container yard.

The new container terminal would be built in ex. PT. Poymer (South side of Trisakti). Container handling process would be done by :

– Gantry crane, cap. 40 tons : 1 unit
– Transtainer, cap. 40 tons : 2 units
– Head truck & chassis     : 5 units
– Super stacker : 1 unit
– Side loader : 1 unit
– Forklif cap. 3 tons : 4 units
– Workshop : 200 sq.m
– Office area : 300 sq.m
– Gate : 1 packet
