ISO 9002 Achievement
PORT OF BANJARMASIN FOR ISO 9002 CERTIFICATION After almost a year preparation, Port of Banjarmasin finally received ISO 9002 certification for Ship Service and Container Handling Service from KEMA Registered Quality (certificate number: 79937 and 79938) Both of certificates delivered by Minister of Communication, Mr. Giri Soeseno, in the ceremony of Communication Day in Tanjung Perak, Surabaya on September 17, 1998.
STEPS TO SUCCESS It began on February, 1998 when implementation team and Management Representative were built. There were two teams (each for Ship Service and Container Terminal Unit). Ship service implementation team led by Mr. Heskiel Sasiang as M.R. and the other team led by Mr. Rasidi. Quality documents was pre-evaluate in Trial Audit step to check document complecity. It was done at June, 21-22, 1998 by KEMA’s auditor. The third step is Document Review. It evaluated all aspecs of documents (from Quality Document level I to level IV). Management Review handled to complete the NCR (Non Confirmity Report), as result of Document Review. There were some unconfirmity status found in document review. Last step was certification assesment. Assesment done by auditors from KEMA Registered Quality at Juli, 21-22, 1998.
WHAT NEXT? ISO 9002 achievement is our promise to provide better services to customers in Ship Service and Container Service. All of members are ready to work harder, better, smarter, and more efficiently. Our goal is ZERO CLAIM.
