Port of Banjarmasin located in Banjarmasin – the capital of South Kalimantan Province- and becomes the most important river port in Kalimantan and the gateway to South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan. It is supported by mining’s (coal) and wood processing industries (plywood, sawmill) as its hinterlands. The position geographic is in : 00o 45′ 00′ South Latitude and 00o 41′ 00′ East Latitude. Banjarmasin Port of consist of three terminal i.e : Trisakti, Martapura Baru dan Martapura Lama. Now, to enhance our services to customers, Port of Banjarmasin has received ISO 9002 certificate from Kema Quality Service, Netherland at September 17, 1998 in Surabaya for Ship Handling Services and container handling services. It will be the guaranties to us to provide you quality services continuely and constantly. It will increase productivity and decrease cost unefficiency in the future. In future (Years 2003), Port of Banjarmasin will have a modern container terminal (Word Classes) to accomodate the increasing of container flow from 131.593 teus in 2000 until 200.000 teus in 2005.
